15th October 2014, Reading, UK – Adax (www.adax.com) and Ranberry (www.ranberry.net) have today announced a partnership that puts them at the forefront of LTE Small Cell solutions. The successful Inter-Operability Test (IOT) between the AdaxEPC compact LTE core network and Ranberry’s LTE picocell line offers a complete end-to-end solution that is ideal for any LTE Small Cell networks including Transportation and Public Safety.
Ranberry™ Cells are designed and built for fast and easy deployment in any building at a small fraction of the DAS (distributed antenna system) cost. Their limited power output dramatically simplifies licensing procedures. The HetNet RAN design enables the customer to adopt a ‘pay-as-you-grow’ scaling model which saves the operator’s investment until it is really needed. The plug-n-play self-configuration feature further reduces deployment costs and its advanced RAN sharing support enables CAPEX and OPEX reduction in multi-operator deployments.
The AdaxEPC provides a fully integrated, low-footprint, highly-scalable and cost-effective LTE mobility platform supporting up to 200,000 simultaneous subscribers with high data throughput. The AdaxEPC consists of MME, SGW, PGW, HSS and PCRF components all of which are optional and configurable and the user-friendly Element Management System (EMS) can configure the components in any combination. With dozens of proven LTE implementations AdaxEPC provides the high reliability and performance mandated by customers. The AdaxEPC provides a complete, ready-to-use, high performance and highly reliable EPC core solution that is right-sized and right-priced for Transport, Public Safety, In-Building and other low footprint applications.
“ Ranberry has completed IOT with our EPC partner – ADAX ” said Ranberry CEO, Pavel Boyko. ”Integrated solutions that combine Ranberry’s small base station and ADAX LTE Core network are opening new opportunities for our companies.”
“ Adax is very pleased to demonstrate interworking capability with the Ranberry Small Cells and our LTE Core network” said Adax Director of European Operations, Robin Kent. “The marketplace is calling for affordable Small Cell LTE solutions that can grow and scale with customer needs. This combination of AdaxEPC and the Ranberry picocells completes a great solution to that problem.”
